Malta Permanent Residence Programme (MPRP)

MPRP confers you the right to reside indefinitely in Malta, together with your four generational registered dependants.
Holding a Maltese residence card provides visa free access to the Schengen zone for 90 out of 180 days.

Benefits of the Malta Permanent Residence Programme
A residence certificate with indefinite validity for you, as the Main Applicant, and your four-generations of family members.
The Maltese residence card will be valid for a period of 5 years from the date of issue, renewable for
further periods of five years.

Approval process
Approval process is from 4 to 6 months.
No residency requirement
You do not need to reside in Malta, there is no residency requirement, nor minimum stays in the country
Visa -free
You will be able to travel Visa- free to the Schengen zone
No interviews
You will not need to prove any proficiency in English language, there is no language requirement, and there are no interviews required.
Qualifications of Main Applicant
- Adult, at least 18 years of age.
- Police clearance certificate.
- Assets of at least €500.000 of which €150,000 should be financial assets.
Investment Requirements
Administration
fee
Non- refundable administration fee of €40,000,
of which€10,000 is due within one month from
the submission of the application, and the
remaining €30,000 within 2 months from the
Letter of Approval.
Choose a Property Investment
Rent a property for a minimum of €10,000 per
year in the south of Malta or Gozo, or for a
minimum of €12,000 per year elsewhere in
Malta.
Direct Contribution to the Government
If you choose to rent a property, the
contribution amount is €58,000.
If you choose to purchase a property, the
contribution is €28,000.

Donation to a local NGO: €2,000
Family
For the same investment, the programme covers four generations
of your family members:
- Spouse or permanent partner
- Children
- Adult Children: there is no age limitation to include an unmarried and financially dependent adult child.
- Parents and grandparents of the main applicant
- Parent and grandparents of the spouse or permanent partner
