Irish citizens can travel up to 188 countries visa free and can live, work and do business anywhere in the European Union. Irish passport holders can also live, work and do business in the UK our closest neighbors via the common travel agreement. The Irish passport is also ranked 6th in the world.

This figured is halved again under qualifying conditions. Qualification of Main Applicant

Applicant has a minimum net worth of €2,000,000
Applicants who are of good character and have not been convicted of a criminal offence in any jurisdiction
Investment must be made from their own funds, for example loans will not be considered

The Approval Process

Your application and its supporting documentation will be presented to the evaluation committee whom will consider the proposal and make a recommendation to the minister for justice and equality. The evaluation committee is composed of senior and relevant Irish government departments and state agencies. They are assessed on the applicants profile, the commercial viability of the project, employment outcomes with the proposed investment and the overall benefit to the Irish state.

Pre-approval letter

After your application is successful you will receive a pre-approval letter inviting the applicant to make their investment. The applicant will have 90 days to make the investment. Once investment is made and presented to the Irish state via your solicitor, The applicant will receive an approval letter granting the applicant a stamp four residence permission.

Entering Ireland

When applicants have fulfilled all investment and documentary requirements and have received the full approval letter, their solicitor will make an appointment at Burgh Quay office in Dublin. All successful candidates and family members will be provided with the “Stamp four” conditions permit.

Renewal for further three years

To renew your residence permission for a further three years, you must show your investment is still in place, you have not become a financial burden on the Irish state, you have not been investigated, indicted or convicted to any criminal offence.

Investment performance is not a condition for residence

The applicants investment will be deemed completed for immigration purposes, there will be no further conditions requiring you to make an investment into Ireland. You can now renew your stamp four residence permission every five years or apply for Irish citizenship.
